I was diagnosed with afib in 2020.  It came out of the blue.  I had absolutely no symptoms at all.  I never experienced shortness of breath, heart palpations, or dizziness or light-headness.  I had an ekg done because i was scheduled for eye surgery.  That's when i found out i had afib.  I had an ablasion done, and fortunately, i am in normal sinus rhythm. 

 

Unfortunately, my wonderful husband if 47 years passed away suddenly of a severe cardiac arrest on 24 July 2024.  Fred never had any heart symptoms whatsoever.  All tests done were normal.  The suddeness of his passing has been so hard to take.  He left the house that morning just fine and an hour and a half later i was a widow. 

 

Don't let the fact that if you don't have any symptoms, you are ok.  Keep your heart healthy.  Get information from the American Heart Association and other organizations to keep your heart healthy.
