American Heart Association Heart Walk

In October 2012, I was diagnosed with Idiopathic Dilated Cardiomyopathy (Congestive Heart Failure) and experienced symptoms until May 2015, when I underwent life-saving emergency surgery to receive a Left Ventricular Assist Device (LVAD). After 10 years with my LVAD, with my LVAD starting to show signs of failure, I received a Heart Transplant in August 2025. This year marks my 11th year participating in the Heart Walk.
