Five years ago, I found myself in a hospital room having a stent placed in my heart. It was scary, humbling, and honestly a turning point in my life.
I was lucky — lucky to have access to great doctors, lucky it was caught in time, lucky to still be here.
That’s why I’m walking in the American Heart Association Heart Walk. Heart disease affects so many families, and research and awareness truly save lives.
