He passed away from sudden cardiac arrest caused by Wolff-Parkinson-White syndrome-something most people don't even know about until it's too late.

Losing him changed everything for me. There's not really a way to explain it, but I carry him with me in everything I do.

I'm doing this walk for him, but also to bring awareness to what took his life. If more people knew about conditions like his or knew how to respond in an emergency, things could be different.

This is my way of turning something so painful into something that matters.
