My interest in cardiac research is grounded in both personal experience and long-standing intellectual curiosity. At the age of fourteen, I lost my older brother to sudden cardiac death due to an undiagnosed cardiomyopathy, an event that shaped my commitment to understanding cardiovascular disease and improving patient outcomes.
I have always been drawn to research and innovation, with a focus on identifying unanswered questions and developing solutions that translate to clinical impact. At MUSC, I am gaining the training, mentorship, and resources necessary to become a meaningful contributor within the field of cardiac research.
