Xi Gamma Sigma Alumnae Chapter of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. is honored to participate in the 2026 Lowcountry Heart Walk as part of our ongoing commitment to uplifting the health and wellness of our communities. As members of Sigma Gamma Rho, service is at the heart of everything we do — and heart health is a cause that touches every family, every neighborhood, and every generation.
Heart disease remains the leading cause of death in the United States, disproportionately affecting African American women and families. Through our partnership with the American Heart Association, we are walking to raise awareness, support lifesaving research, and empower our community with the tools to live longer, healthier lives.
On February 28 in Charleston, SC, Xi Gamma Sigma will walk in unity — honoring survivors, remembering loved ones, and standing together for a future where heart disease is no longer a silent threat. Every step we take reflects the values of Sigma Gamma Rho Sorority, Inc. and our dedication to greater service, greater progress.
