I walk for my daughter, Weslie - our Heart Warrior. At just three months old, she underwent open-heart surgery, facing challenges no baby should ever have to face. Because of the care, research, and support made possible by the American Heart Association, Weslie is thriving, smiling, and showing us what true resiliency looks like every day. I walk to honor everything she has been through, to support continued research and awareness for congenital heart defects, and to stand with every family walking a similar path. Every step is for Weslie and for all the little hearts still fighting.
