My Why

Did you know that 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside of a hospital do not survive? In many of those cases, bystander CPR was not performed. The truth is heartbreaking—but it’s also changeable.

Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere: at work, at home, on athletic fields, or in neighborhoods like ours. When it does, the readiness of our community can make the difference between life and death.

That’s why I’m walking.

It’s time for us to unite, take action, and save lives. Every dollar donated helps train more people in lifesaving CPR, funds critical research, and creates more second chances for families everywhere. Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers.
