My Story (AKA: Why I’m Walking) ♥
I’m walking in the 2026 Broward Heart Walk because hearts matter… and not just the ♥ emojis kind.
Here’s a wild (and sobering) fact: 9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. In many cases, bystander CPR isn’t performed — not because people don’t care, but because they don’t feel ready.
And that’s the part we can change.
Cardiac arrest can happen anywhere — at work, at home, at the gym, on the field, or right in the neighborhood. The difference between a tragedy and a second chance often comes down to one thing:
Someone nearby who knows what to do.
That’s why I’m walking (and fundraising). Every donation helps support:
• CPR training so bystanders become lifesavers
• Research to improve treatment and outcomes
• Education + awareness so more families get more time together
On a personal note: I’ve been on a big health journey the last couple of years — more steps, more movement, better habits, and more appreciation for how precious good health really is. So I’m putting those steps to work for something bigger than myself.
Step by step, we can help hearts keep beating. ♥
From the heart, do your part.
And if you donate… just know you’re officially part of my “cardio crew.”
Thank you for supporting my Heart Walk page — whether you donate, share, or join me at the walk. Let’s turn ordinary moments into lifesaving moments.
I walk to save lives. Will you help me reach my goal? ♥
