We Walk for Miguel.
Miguel was more than someone we loved — he was the person who showed up. Always.
He was kind, selfless, and had a heart big enough for everyone around him. If you needed help, encouragement, or just someone to sit and talk, Miguel was there.
He was our Cafecito man.
No matter the time of day, he always had cafecito ready. It wasn’t just coffee — it was his way of bringing people together. A small cup, a warm smile, a moment to laugh and feel cared for. That was Miguel. He made everyone feel welcome.
He also loved riding his bike — feeling the breeze, being outside, enjoying life in the simple, beautiful ways he always did. That joy is something we will always remember when we think of him.
Most of all, he was an incredible father. His child was his world. The love and pride he carried in his heart for his child was undeniable and will live on forever.
Our hearts are broken by his sudden passing. Cardiac arrest can happen without warning, changing families forever in an instant. No one should have to experience this kind of loss.
That’s why we’re walking in his honor and supporting the American Heart Association.
We walk so more people learn CPR.
We walk so more hearts can be saved.
We walk so more families get more time together.
If you’d like to honor Miguel — our Cafecito man, our bike rider, our loving father — please consider joining our team or donating toward our goal.
Every step we take is for him.
