You can't see Tilly and not smile. Matilda "Tilly" was born in 2023 on the day after Christmas, the season of joy, and she has brought great joy and laughter to this world every day since! When her mother, Olivia, was 30 weeks pregnant, Tilly was diagnosed with Tetrology of Fallot with Pulmonary Atresia, a severe defect accounting for only 2% of all CHD cases. At 3 weeks old, Matilda received a full repair at Ochsner in New Orleans by Dr. Benjamin Peeler. Tilly girl came home just 8 days later. Now she is a wonderfully crazy & silly two-year-old who loves elephants, her baby dolls, and making everyone around her laugh. She will need a surgical update in a few years, but otherwise is living a very happy and "normal" life. Her parents are forever grateful to the Ochsner care team, their family, friends, and all the "village" that have gotten us here today. We walk for Tilly and all those like her. Every kid should have the chance to grow up and live BIG!
