Nico was born with a life-threatening congenital heart defect called Transposition of the Great Arteries. At just 6 days old, he underwent open-heart surgery?a procedure that saved his life before it had truly begun.

Thanks to the incredible care of his medical team and the life-saving research supported by the American Heart Association, Nico is now a thriving, energetic 10-year-old. He?s living proof of what hope, science, and community can achieve together.

Now, we want to pay that miracle forward.
