I walk because heart disease has impacted my life in profound ways.
I lost my father to a massive heart attack when he was just 36 years old. I experienced my own life-changing cardiac event at the age 39. On December 28, 2023, I survived a SCAD (Spontaneous Coronary Artery Dissection) heart attack and sudden cardiac arrest. By the grace of GOD, quick action, CPR, and an AED, I was given a second chance at life.
Today, I walk not only as a survivor, but as an advocate, educator, 2026 American Heart Association Woman of Impact Atlanta and founder of nonprofit GOD's Girl Divine Heart, Inc. My mission is to raise awareness about heart disease, CPR and AED's, and the importance of knowing your heart health numbers...including Lipoprotein(a).
Every step I take is in honor of those we have lost, those currently fighting heart disease, and the survivors who continue to inspire us every day.
My heart stopped, but my purpose started.
Please help me celebrate my survival by joining my team, making a donation, or cheering us on at the finish line. Together, we can save lives, create awareness, and support the lifesaving work of the American Heart Association.
In Loving Memory of:
Tony Cole Brewer - Father
Darlene Mincy - Aunt
Elton Bates - Cousin
Forever in our hearts and never forgotten.
Thank you for supporting my Heart Walk journey and helping us create a world with longer, healthier lives for everyone!
