The Heart Walk's mission is very near and dear to my heart. My mom survived a major stroke 10 years ago that left her partially paralyzed and with aphasia. There was a time when I was unsure if my mom would make it to my wedding day or ever get to hold her grandchild. I am grateful to say that she has now done both of those things, but I also don’t want other families to face the uncertainty of life after a stroke.
