2026 Atlanta Heart Walk
Constructing Strong Hearts
Our Georgia Power Transmission Projects and Construction team builds high-voltage transmission lines and substations that deliver electricity across our state. In many ways, the transmission grid is Georgia's circulatory system—moving the energy needed to power homes, hospitals, schools, businesses, and industries from generation sources to the communities that depend on it every day.
The human heart serves a similar purpose. It fuels our bodies by delivering blood to sustain life. Just as our transmission system keeps Georgia running, healthy hearts keep people moving, working, living, and spending time with the people they love.
When major storms such as Hurricanes Helene, Irma, and Michael strike, they can severely damage our electric grid. Restoring power requires tremendous teamwork, innovation, and investment. We harden our system and rebuild stronger because we understand what is at stake for the people and communities we serve.
Heart disease is a different kind of storm.
It impacts our families, friends, and coworkers. Heart disease can arrive without warning and leave lasting effects on those we care about most. If you take a moment to reflect on your life, I bet you will recognize that you too have a personal story that relates.
As members of the Georgia Power family, we understand the importance of investing today to build a stronger tomorrow. That's why our Transmission Projects and Construction team is proud to support the American Heart Association and the Heart Walk.
Every dollar raised helps fund the breakthroughs that improve patient outcomes, enhance quality of life, and save lives. Together, we can help ensure that more people have the opportunity to enjoy healthy, active lives with their loved ones.
We hope you'll join us in supporting the American Heart Association and investing in a healthier future—one donation, one step, and one heartbeat at a time.
