Life is Why! Family is Why! My Family and Your Family. My Beautiful Grandson is Why!
NEARLY 50% of U.S. adults have high blood pressure. AND 1 in 5 have no idea they are at risk.
It doesn't have to be this way.
Together, we can help prevent this "silent killer" from taking even more lives.
I will be walking in the Heart Walk on Saturday, October 3rd in order to do my part in creating awareness of the impact of cardiovascular disease and stroke and the importance of the research and advancements that have been accomplished by the American Heart Association. With the help of your support we can continue this most important research and continue to make life saving advances in the cure for Heart Disease. 80% of cardiac events can be prevented through education and lifestyle changes such as moving more, eating smart and managing blood pressure.
Join the movement to make heart health a priority, to increase research on heart disease.
Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
You may or maynot know that I am adopted. My adopted family suffered from heart disease, which was the initial reason that I began participating and wanting to spread awareness of the importance of Heart Care. I felt that it was important to get the word out regarding the importance of Heart Care and to participate in a way that I could somehow contribute and give back. I also wanted to be part of the reason for more cardiovascular research so that my children and future grandchildren would have the necessary tools needed for a better understanding of a better way to care for themselves and to have the opportunity for the most innovative medical techniques available.
I have been blessed with finding three half-sisters and a half-brother. Finding them I have learned that my biological family also suffered from heart disease. So today I not only walk for my adopted family but also for my biological family. The importance of my continued support and hope to spread awareness has just multiplied. So, once again, I am asking for your help in supporting The American Heart Association and its cause.
It is my hope that, with your support, we will continue to educate people on how to take better care of themselves and how to be aware of the signs of heart disease and stroke.
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. Imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
