My picture is one of success. Just a few weeks before this picture of Dave and the kids was taken, Dave had undergone open-heart surgery to receive an aortic heart valve. It was one of the scariest times of our lives, and we are so grateful for our heart surgeon who saved Dave's life. Over 8 years later, Dave is doing great!
