Why I Walk – Education, Prevention, Promotion
As a clinical pharmacist, I’ve spent my career in Internal Medicine, Emergency Medicine, and Critical Care. I’ve stood at the bedside working with doctors, nurses, respiratory, lab techs, and imaging specialist during many codes. I have prepared the medications that dissolve clots during a stroke, stabilize a failing heart, and bring patients back from the edge of no return. I know exactly what heart disease and stroke look like up close and I know how fast they can change a family’s life.
This cause isn’t just professional for me. It’s personal. IT’s FAMILY. Both of my parents are alive today because of cardiovascular care. Life-saving cardiac surgery gave me more birthdays, more phone calls, and more holidays with the people that raised me molded me into the man I am today. Every time I look at them, I see hope and am inspired by the researchers and clinicians that studied, learned, and implemented the changes that continue to change the world.
That’s why I’m walking in the Greater Orlando Heart Walk on November 7, 2026 and why I’m asking you to join me, donate, promote, and even educate yourselves so that we can make someone’s family hopes and wishes a reality.
Every dollar funds research, CPR education, and prevention right here in Central Florida.
Thank you,
Kev
