In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
About 10 years ago I had the scare of my life when mom called to tell me that my only baby brother was in the ER with a heart attack. Immediately I thought that couldn't be happening, he is the youngest of four siblings and the only male. I went into panic mode and went to the hospital. Doctors said that he needed and emergency surgery to place stents in his arteries, since then we all are keeping an eye on him making sure he takes his meds, stick to the new lifestyle he had to change into. Couple of years ago he had a second attack and he was warned he needed to take it seriously so here we go again the 3 sisters taking care of our little brother.
On September 10, 2024 my husband went outside to take the trash to the dumpster which it was like 20-30 feet from our apartment. Five minutes later a neighbor came knocking on my door that my husband was laying on the ground and she was calling 911. We started CPR until EMT arrived. When they took him to the ambulance he had no pulse, they tried their best but he ended up passing a few short time later of a massive heart attack. Something that was giving him warnings but he decided to postpone it until he were able to take care of other underlying issues. I should have insisted on visiting a Cardiologist when we had the chance, now it's too late.
