Earlier this year, my family’s world changed when my husband underwent quadruple bypass surgery. It was a frightening and emotional journey.
Today, I am incredibly grateful to say that he survived and is doing wonderfully. He has worked so hard through his recovery and is now back to his day-to-day life, including returning to work and doing the things he loves. Seeing him regain his strength and get back to his normal routine is something I never take for granted.
Going through this experience opened my eyes in a very personal way to just how important heart health, research, education, prevention, and lifesaving care truly are. We are so grateful for the doctors, nurses, medical professionals, and advancements in heart care that helped give my husband a second chance.
That is why I am walking this year, not just for my husband, but for every person and every family whose lives have been touched by heart disease.
I’m asking for your support as I raise money for this extraordinary cause. Every donation, no matter the amount, can help support research, education, prevention, and programs that save lives and give families more precious time together.
My husband was given another chance, and I am incredibly thankful. Now I want to help give others that same chance.
Thank you for supporting us and for helping me make a difference.
