I am fundraising for my health, my sister's, and in honor of my Mom and Grandpa who I got my big heart from! At 11, I was diagnosed with Hypertrophic Cardiomyopathy, a hereditary condition inherited by my Mom. At 14, I underwent open heart surgery and the placement of a defibrillator and pacemaker. I received my first shock in 2022 when going into an arrhythmia that my defibrillator detected deadly and shocked to terminate into a normal rhythm. Heart disease awareness is crucial for treatment and research to treat individuals; without medical advancement, I would not be here today.

In February 2022, my Mom passed unexpectedly. Ever since her mid 30's with her heart disease diagnosis, she battled many obstacles. Every year we celebrate her as we walk in honor of her life with her extra big heart! 

Every year my goal is to have a team bigger than the last and to be considered a Top Walker with the help of my team and community.
