My dad died from a heart attack in 1991. Losing my dad at the age of 23 changed my life forever. There are so many things I wish I could have said, more memories I wish we could have made, and more time I wish we had together.
His death is a reminder that heart disease can affect our families in ways we never expect. That’s why I’m sharing his story and participating in the American Heart Walk.
I walk in memory of my dad, but I also walk for the families who have experienced this kind of loss and for the people who are still here, fighting for more time with the ones they love.
I hope by sharing his story, I can help raise awareness about heart health and encourage others to take care of their hearts and learn the warning signs of a heart attack.
Dad, I carry your memory with me every step of the way. â¤ï¸
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Help me reach my goal today!
