My Story.
On May 22nd, 2025 at only 25 years old I became a Sudden Cardiac Arrest Survivor. I was at my apartment gym when, while working out I went into VFIB. Fortunately, the only other person in the gym at the happened to be a nurse who immediately called 911 and began CPR until the fire department came with an AED and successfully shocked my heart back into rhythm. Where I was working out did not have an AED, and in NC they are not required to be in many social areas. I am only here today because another individual knew CPR AND knew to call 911. Next time you're working out, shopping or at a restaurant think do they have an AED?
In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
