Thanks to the rapid, heroic response of medical staff—including a cardiologist who happened to be attending the game as a fan—Muamba received immediate cardiopulmonary resuscitation (CPR) and 15 defibrillator shocks. Against all medical odds, he made a complete neurological recovery.

 

9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don't survive.  Most of the time, it is because no one nearby performed CPR.  Together we can change that.
