I've been participating in the Charlotte Heart Walk for at least 14 years.  We starting walking in memory of Nancy's Dad, Elvin, whose birthday and the anniversay of his death (22 years ago) falls near the date of the Walk.   We also walk in memory of my Dad who benefitted from aortic valve replacement just before his 90th birthday.  We walk too for so many who have been impacted by heart disease and stroke, including our good friend, Irby, whom we just lost.
