In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
We are raising money in honor for Titan.
Here is his story!
Titan was born March 4, 2014 with Congenital Heart Disease. His diagnosis is double outlet right ventricle, large VSD, and Tricuspid Atresia. August 25, 2014, it was time for him to endure a 9+ hour bypass at Vanderbilt Children's Hospital under the hands of Dr. Brett Mettler to do a complete repair. The surgery was a success. Our strong heart warrior had a month long stay at Vanderbilt. On day 13, I got to see his precious smile on his face.
May 2015, I (mom) noticed his heart didn't sound like it should. We made an appointment, he came home with a 24hr heart monitor on a Wednesday. By that following Friday, his cardiologist, Dr. Jonathan Soslow, called with devastating news stating the monitor showed he was in 2nd degree heart block and by the Wednesday in was in the operating room getting a dual lead pacemaker.
He has been in the cath lab a few times for a stent to help open up his pulmonary valve.
In a couple of years, he will need to change his pacemaker battery and possibly a pulmonary valve replacement.
Titan is a strong, smart, courageous survivor! He's thriving!
