Hello friends and family! I started my role as Development Director on the Heart Walk Team with the American Heart Association in March, and I am very excited to share that the Nashville Heart Walk is coming up this Sunday, September 27th!
The Heart Walk is a movement that brings our community together to fight heart disease and stroke, honor survivors, and support lifesaving research and education. The Nashville Heart Walk will have about 7,000 walkers come out to participate, and has a goal of raising $2,000,000 as a community.
As part of my involvement, I set a personal fundraising goal of $1,500. Your support helps the American Heart Association continue its mission of being relentless force for a world of longer, healthier lives. Funds raised through the Heart Walk support critical research, CPR education, community health programs, advocacy efforts, and resources for heart disease and stroke survivors and their families.
I’ve truly loved my time with this organization so far - it means so much to spend my time at work surrounded by a team dedicated to improving the health of those in our community. If you have any questions about how the AHA is working in your community, please let me know and I’d love to share more!
If you wish to donate via check, please text or call me and I'd be happy to send information for who to address it to and where to send it. Thank you all again for your support and consideration!
