In 2024 I had the worse case of gerd or what I thought was gerd for 3 days. I drove myself to the hospital to get checked out. It wasn't gerd , I was actually having a heart attack. I had to have open heart surgery, a double bypass. 3 wires, 2 plates and 36 screws hold my bones together. I was scared, was I going to end up like my mom! My grandson called me the night before surgery to say "nonna you got this". " You'll be fine" and he was right!
2026 just a few months ago my dad went to emergency for pain down his arm and in his chest to also be having a heart attack. 100 percent blocked and a stent put in that artery. Now in June he goes to find out what they will be doing with the other arteries, most likely open heart but not sure how many bypasses.
In 2015 my mom had a triple bypass. Her heart was strong after the surgery but other issues took my mom's life 2 1/2 months later.
