9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital die, often because bystander CPR was not performed. This is a statistic that hits close to home for me?I lost both of my maternal grandparents to heart disease before they reached 70. Their memory is my motivation for participating in the American Heart Walk.
Cardiac arrests happen everywhere: at work, at home, on athletic fields, and in our neighborhoods. Our community's readiness can mean the difference between life and death. By coming together, we can take action and save lives. Every dollar donated helps train more people in lifesaving CPR, supports vital research, and creates more lifesaving moments for families like mine.
This is why I walk?to honor my grandparents and to help save lives. I invite you to join me at the walk or to contribute financially to this cause.
Together, we can turn bystanders into lifesavers. Help me reach my goal today.
