A Little Heart, A Lot of Sole!
They say every step counts, and this year, I'm making mine count for something bigger!
I'm excited to serve as the Team Captain for the USF Health Department of Surgery's Heart Walk team, "Suture Self, We're Walking!", as we participate in the 2026 Tampa Bay Heart Walk on November 14!
For me, this walk is more than just a department event. Heart health has touched my own family, making this cause especially meaningful to me. It's a reminder that behind every statistic is a person, a family, and a story worth fighting for.
Working in the Department of Surgery, I'm surrounded by incredible individuals who dedicate their careers to improving and saving lives. While my role may be behind the scenes, I believe making a difference doesn't stop when the workday ends. Sometimes, it starts with simply showing up, bringing people together, and taking a few steps in the right direction.
This is our department's second consecutive year participating, and I'm proud to help lead our team as we continue supporting heart health, lifesaving research, and the Tampa Bay community.
Now, I'm not saying we can suture all the world's problems with a pair of walking shoes... but we can certainly take a step toward making things better!
Here's where YOU come in!
Whether you donate, join our team, walk alongside us, or simply share this page, your support means so much. Every contribution, big or small, helps us move closer to a future where more families have more time together.
Let's put our hearts (and soles!) into making a difference!
Thank you for supporting me, our team, and a cause that truly matters.
