My heart spoke:

I used to think heart disease was something that happened to other women. Older women, women with classic symptoms. Not me!

But everything changed in an instant. What I brushed off as stress became a fight for my life...emergency surgery, three stents, and a truth I can't ignore.

Heart Disease is the number one cause of death in women. I know that pain too well...I lost my mother (Priscila) to a heart attack. I never imagined I'd come so close to the same fate. 

But I'm still here. And that means something.

My scare didn't break me it woke me up! It reminded me that my life, my voice, and my heart matter.

If sharing my story helps even one women take symptoms seriously, then this second chance has purpose.

I'm choosing to live boldly, speak loudly, and honor my mother by protecting the heart she gave me.
