This year marks my 21st year serving as a team captain, and I couldn’t be more excited to walk alongside all of you.

The Heart Walk is more than an event—it’s an opportunity to come together in support of a cause that touches nearly every family. Whether you’ve lost someone to heart disease, know a stroke survivor, are supporting a loved one living with cardiovascular disease, or simply want to help create healthier communities, your participation matters.

For me, this mission is deeply personal. I lost my mom to a sudden heart attack in 2010. Every step we take honors those we’ve lost and celebrates those who continue to fight every day.

This year is especially meaningful as BayCare’s CEO serves as the Executive Sponsor for the Tampa Bay Heart Walk. Let’s show the strength, compassion, and generosity that make BayCare so special and make 2026 our biggest and most impactful year yet.
