Yvette used to think heart disease was something that happened to other women, older women, women with classic symptoms. 

But everything changed in an instant, what Yvette brushed off as stress became a fight for her life...emergency surgery, three stents, and a truth she can't ignore anymore: heart disease is the number one cause of death in women. 

Yvette knows that pain too well...she lost her mother Priscila to a heart attack. Yvette never imagined she'd come so close to the same fate. 

Yvette is still here. And that means something. Yvette's scare didn't break her, it woke her up. It reminded her that her life, her voice, and her heart matter. Yvette is choosing to live bodily, speak loudly, and honor her mother Priscila by protecting the heart Priscila gave Yvette.
