2026 Tampa Bay Heart Walk
UMA - Student Finance
Ultimate Medical Academy, part of the Vocate Education Solutions network, is excited to return for our fourth year supporting the American Heart Association’s Tampa Bay Heart Walk, taking place on Saturday, Nov. 14 at Raymond James Stadium – and we’d love for you to join our team!
Dr. Shadel Hamilton, Heart Walk Executive Cabinet Member and UMA Clearwater Campus President, is at the helm for the second straight year. We’re focusing on making an impact by educating our team members and students on the importance of good heart health and prevention of heart disease, the No. 1 cause of death in the U.S. We’ll do this by partnering with the AHA leading up to the walk by educating team members and students on medical observation, diet monitoring, and activity, including walking at the Nov. 14 event. For the second year, we’ll also be sponsoring the Survivor Lane with UMA team members, to recognize heart disease and stroke survivors when they complete their victory lap and ring the survivor bell.
As part of our 2025 efforts, we achieved the largest registered team with over 1,000 team members and students. This year we hope to maintain that position to help raise our communities’ understanding of good heart health and target a fundraising goal of $25,000 to support the AHA’s larger goal of $2.8 million. All funds raised will help the AHA’s communities through professional training, education, and research funding.
We encourage all team members, students, family, and friends to register and join our efforts leading up to Nov. 14 walk
Together we can all create more awareness by equipping and empowering our communities to support heart health and help save lives.
