In a heartbeat, you could be the difference.
Hi! This is our heart warrior Easton,
At 7 weeks old our sweet boy went into cardiac arrest, Two women helped save his life by giving him CPR until first responders arrived. Because of them he was able to make it to the hospital where we found out he has a very rare congenital heart defect called (ALCAPA) anomalous left coronary artery from the pulmonary artery. ALCAPA is very rare It affects approximately 1 in 300,000 live births. His chance of survival was very low his heart was not receiving oxygen and was very damaged. Easton fought every single day. He overcame many obstacles. Easton's heart was repaired! Since surgery he has been getting stronger everyday. He loves to play and laugh. We are walking because of HIM! Our true warrior. We hope to raise awareness on CHD in babies and children, ALCAPA and the IMPORTANCE of learning CPR. He is here today because of the quick action of two strangers who we didn't know.
9 out of 10 people who suffer cardiac arrest outside the hospital don’t survive. Most of the time, it’s because no one nearby performed CPR. But together, we can change that.
Extraordinary things happen when people take action. A small step. A simple skill. A lifesaving moment. Heart Walk brings communities together to create health and hope for every heartbeat. Every walker who joins, every dollar donated, means more people trained in CPR, more research and more lifesaving moments for everyone.
Extraordinary starts with YOU. Help us reach our goal today!
