I walk because of life-saving research that the AHA has been a part of for decades. Their research made it possible for my father to have life saving open heart surgery at age 88. He is 94 years old now and doing great thanks to the wonderful medical community we have in Birmingham. My family is so thankful to the AHA and the medical community in Birmingham.
