As you may or may not know, I had a mild heart attack just before Christmas last year. I went to the ER with what I thought was GERD. When my EKG looked “off,” the cardiologist sent me for a heart cath. Turns out I had 5 blockages. Two days later, I had heart bypass surgery. I had an excellent surgeon and care team at Duke Regional. It was a Christmas I won’t forget, because I spent it in the hospital.
Fast forward 9 months, and I am doing well. I was lucky and blessed. Things could have turned out worse. I am thankful to my family and friends for all of their prayers, love and support. They are why I am walking in this Sunday’s Triangle Heart Walk.
If you feel led, I would appreciate your donation to my walk. Thank you!!
