I walk because we celebrate our #HeartWarrior Everett, who is now 5 years old!
At 11 days old, our critically ill son was airlifted to New Orleans to repair a congenital heart defect that had been detected only hours earlier. He fought hard to become another survivor, thanks to so many healing hands and praying hearts.
We now have at least three other survivors among our family circle, including a newborn cousin, Everett's Uncle Phil, and an honorary uncle whom he calls Choo Choo.
