1 in 3 Americans are affected by some sort of cardiovascular disease. The American Heart Association is actively researching and developing new technologies to help cure and prevent heart related issues in people of all ages. Both of our daughters were born with a slight heart murmur. They both had to visit the cardiologist and have it monitored. We are very thankful that the AHA has helped develop the technology and education needed to find and monitor these types of murmurs in little babies. We are so grateful that both of their heart murmurs resolved on their own and no further steps were needed. Some people are not as lucky as us, so that is why I want to fundraise and walk for this amazing organization that is helping families across the globe.
