I have proudly supported the American Heart Association for over 11 years and find it to be extremely gratifying to be joining the fight against our nation's No. 1 and No. 5 killers
Last year, I raised money for my cousin LaKeisha who passed away from a heart defect at the very early age of 41. My motivation this is year is my colleague Rex Noble. Rex, a 35 year veteran of Florida Power & Light who has participated in over fifty marathons (15 of them being Boston Marathons!) and three Ironman Triathlons, was stricken with a stroke while attending a college football game last fall.
Through God’s grace and a massive amount of committed effort, Rex has returned to work and is on the path to a full recovery! By the way, he is already back on the running trail with expectations to participate in at least one more Boston Marathon.
