I walk because I know that with every step and every dollar, I am saving lives. My dad had his first open heart surgery at 48 years old when I was only 15. The research AHA has done in the past is why he is still here today. The research they continue to perform may save my heart and yours some day.
We're all tied to heart disease and stroke in some way. We all either have a loved one, our own issue, or a nurse/patient experience that we can recall. We have to do more to improve outcomes and positively affect change! Will you help me?
