While many of you have known, I’m sure to a few of you this will be news!
This past October I was offered my dream job as a Cardiothoracic Operating Room Circulating Nurse! Which is a fancy way of saying I work on an Open Heart surgery team.
The HH CVOR is in the top 50 cardiovascular surgery programs in the nation and is located right down the street from many of you! I’m sure each of you have friends or family who took the stretcher ride to our OR and blessed us with being your heart team!
Upon taking this position, I wanted to be as involved as possible within our department and have been enjoying the experience!
This year I am a Co-Coordinator for Huntsville Hospital’s American Heart Association Heart Walk. In addition to this, I am a Co-Coach for the Huntsville Hospital’s ❤ CVOR (Open Heart Surgery) Team!
To celebrate Heart Month, our team has raised over $1,900 and we would love to raise more!
If you, a friend or a family member has been affected by heart disease, please consider donating to the American Heart Association in honor of the CVOR Team!
Spread the love & help us to continue fixing “brokenhearts” by donating!
Your donations will:
❤Help fund lifesaving science. Science that can create an artificial heart valve. Prevent a stroke. Put scientific advances into doctors’ hands. Correct heart defects in newborn babies. And someday, find a cure for high blood pressure. Science that can teach us all how to live longer and healthier.
Funds will also support projects to help:
❤Put up-to-the-minute research into doctors’ hands so they can better prevent and treat heart disease among patients.
❤Groundbreaking pediatric heart and stroke research that is key to saving babies’ lives.
❤Provide life-saving information – such as how to eat better, how to recognize the warning signs of heart attack, and how to talk to a doctor about critical health choices.
