The woman picture with me was my Superwoman, my Queen, my mother. In 2004 my mother suffered her first heart attack, not knowing the importance of learning more about the disease and how to prevent it, she went on with life as normal. As most of us did in our family.
In 2018 my mother suffered her second heart attack at which time we learned that the disease had progress to the point where in order for her to live she had to undergo Quadruple Bypass. My Queen was down for about three months but was able to get back to somewhat of a normal life but still not taken the disease as serious as I think we should have at the time. Her surgery was suppose to give us about 10 more years of life with her but November 15, 2020, I lost my mother and she lost her battle to the disease with her third heart attack. I am walking in Honor of her. I am walking in honor of Sgt. Neomi Colin, U.S.A.F.
But it's not just my efforts alone that will one day help us see a world free of heart disease and stroke. I am walking with a team of heart heros because together, we will have an even greater impact. And you can help us change the world, one step at a time, by donating to my fundraiser.
Your donation will fund groundbreaking research that keeps hearts beating and helps people enjoy longer, healthier lives. I can't do it alone.
Please help me now by donating. Because every step counts. And together we are helping save lives!
Have a heart and help me reach my goal today!
