Life is Why! Join me in supporting the American Heart Association!
I’m not just walking. I’m Heartwalking. My participation in Heart Walk promotes fun ways to be physically active and make healthier choices every day. For this year's Heart Walk, we're not only walking in honor of my granddaughter who was born in October 2020 with TOF, but this year I am a survivor myself. After being diagnosed with a murmur in 2018, it was discovered after a routine echo this year that I had critical aortic stenosis. The following arteriogram also found an artery 90% blocked. I was immediately scheduled for open heart surgery on July 11, 2024. I was practically asymptomatic and was a literal ticking time bomb. My family is full of heart disease survivors and now I'm the latest. This year has so much more meaning to me and on my 10th walking anniversary, I'm also now a survivor.
Now, just imagine the impact if we reduce death and disability from cardiovascular diseases and stroke by 20 percent by 2022. Please help me reach this lifesaving goal by donating today. Together, we can make healthier, longer lives possible for everyone.
Thank you in advance for your support!
