Over the last 10 years working in a rehab hospital, I have been able to see the impact stroke and heart disease can have on patients' lives. We work to allow them to return to the things they love and their new normal life.
In 2021, when my son Asher was born, I saw first hand the impact of congenital heart disease. Thankfully open heart surgery at ten days old and 3 weeks in the hospital, will allow him to live a full and capable life.
I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
