In 1998 my father had his first major heart attack. We didn’t think think he would live, and he actually went into code blue. Doctors were able to save him thanks to medical advances and research funded by the American heart association. My dad has gone on to have five more heart attacks and now has a pacemaker. He is alive and healthy and able to see seven grand children grow up into young adults. It is because of people like you that donate to the American Heart Association that critical research and funding to communities make a real life impact and save lives. I am proud to not only be walking for the American heart association, but I’m also proud to work for this great organization. Have a heart and help me reach my goal today.
