My whole life, I've been good with numbers. On June 17, 2020, I became one - one among the millions affected by cardiovascular disease in the United States. That moment opened my eyes to the staggering statistics that surround heart health.
I'm proud to be part of the Raymond James marketing department, where we understand the importance of numbers. Today, I'm leveraging that skill to lead a Heart Walk team for the American Heart Association. Why? Because the statistics surrounding cardiovascular disease are too significant to ignore:
Every 33 seconds, someone in the United States dies from cardiovascular disease.
At roughly 20%, it's the leading cause of death for both men and women in our country.
128 million adults in the U.S. are estimated to have some form of cardiovascular disease.
These numbers aren't just statistics; they represent real lives, real families, and real stories. By fundraising, we support crucial research and prevention efforts that can change these numbers. Together, let's rewrite these statistics and create a world where heart disease is no longer a leading cause of suffering and loss. Join me in this critical mission because every number counts, and every dollar makes a difference.
