We're all tied to heart disease in some way. We must change that.
My family's story started a long time ago with my great grandparents, and many others. My personal impact was on 6/11/2023. Early that evening, I experienced a major heart attack, emergency open heart, quadruple bypass surgery, and almost a month in the hospital. Since then, due in large part of the work the American Heart Association does, I am well down my recovery path.
The AHA and WakeMed literally saved my life!
I walk because I know that with every step, I am saving lives.
