In 2014 my Mother suffered a Stroke that changed both of our lives forever. The recovery process lasted years and everyday we are still fighting. My participation in Heart Walk is to promote ways to be Physically Active and make Healthier Choices.
Awareness of being Heart Healthy and the impact of heart related complications in African Americans is at a hightened state! Together..... we can reduce Death and Disability from Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke.
