I walk in celebration of my best friend Jen. Early in 2024 Jen noticed some unexplained neck pain, but passed it off as a muscle strain from over-exertion. Her husband Bob listened to his gut when it told him it could be something worse. Bob encouraged Jen to get a stress test.
That stress test revealed that Jen's LAD, the "widow maker" was 99% blocked. The LAD transports a large amount of blood to the heart, and without it the heart can quickly run out of oxygen and stop beating.
Thankfully, Jen underwent a stent procedure to clear the blockage and she is alive and healthy today. Had Bob not questioned Jen's symptoms, the result could have been a catastrophic heart attack.
